When I Recently upgraded from 64-bit Win 8.1 to Win 10. Although I got IDT sound (Ver. 6.10.6491.0) on my PC and it is playing perfectly, I cannot getHP Beats Audio Control Panel to work. It loads up; however, Beats' sound effects, in the control panel under thelistening experience tab (to use the equalizer universally, Music / Voice / Movie environments, and test the speakers. Etc.), do NOT work nor affect the sound at all since the upgrade. Also, under theadvanced settings tab, When I try to disable the Multi-Streaming function, the Beats Audio Control Panel just stops working!I tried uninstalling the driver, restarting PC, installing the latest driver, restarting but no avail. I also went to HP support, but they don't support Windows 10 on PC's built before August 2013.
Idt Audio Driver Windows 7 Hp
I find it strange that other media application work with sound, but not HP IDT Audio Control Panel! It was working just fine with Windows 8.1.
Any fix for this? Well, I went through the root dir of hard disk, and found HP's original, pre-installed driver (ver. 6.10.6418.0 for Win 8), already extracted. I re-installed it as an admin. Now, testing speakers through the IDT Control Panel work; however, the right speakerwas shared by the left speaker when I clicked on it. Also, I could change the environment (music, voice, movie) under thelistening experience tab, but clicking the box next to ' Beats Audio' didn't make a difference, and changing the IDT equalizer also had no effect. Under theadvanced settings, each time I tried to disablemulti-streaming or reset the settings, IDT control panel just stopped working and closed like before. So I went back to Win 10 device manager update, and re-updated the IDT driver back to ver.
Idt High Definition Audio Codec Missing
6.10.6491.0 over the original. Now, the control Panel works like the original (which is strange cuz never workedbefore), but still the equalizer and theBeats Audio box do not make a difference when playing back music through a player. Also, the sound is a little faint/hollow, and the problem with disabling/enabling themulti-streaming andresetting still exists.Hopefully with the Win 10 anniversary update, those issues will be fixed.I appreciate your replies and trying to help.
